So this thread is aimed at turning a negative into a positive. You state what made you hurt yourself last time. And what you can do better next time. For example: #1 - I cut because I split up with my partner and felt worthless and it brought back bad memories. Next time I'll go for a run instead and try and give my ex partner a few days to calm down before seeing if there's a chance to improve things. #2 - I hurt myself because I woke up and had a bad dream that made me relive something I didn't want to. Next time I will get up and write my feelings down, take deep breaths and talk to someone about it. Etc.
I hurt myself because I was stressed and thought there was no other way to cope. Next time I will take a deep breath and try to think things through, even after I hurt myself the problem was still there so it didn't help.
