    I use both!
Twitter is for when i post something on my website and i need to tell my followers about it.
Facebook is where i can discuss things with fans of my website/forum.
They are both great but i do agree when people say "Twitter is just Facebook status updates"
That is fine by me though!

I don't even have a Twitter account, I can't spend all day trying to update my life. I do use Facebook for my work stuff and Myspace for my family and friends but I log in only about once a week. I just like posting my kids pictures so family that lives far away can take a look at them and that's about the only reason I use it.

I think more people like facebook, i am not sure about it, just out of my common sense.
Years ago i was a facebook girl but later facebook was blocked in my country and now i could not log into it any more.

While I am also into Twitter, the bulk of my social networking time is now concentrated with Facebook. Facebook is working well for me and I can easily promote on the site for free. But then, why not use both?

I generally hangout on Facebook as most of my friends are on Facebook. I login to my twitter account once or twice a week.

Twitter is so much better, you get the chance to speak with celebrities. Facebook just bores more. Simple version of the once great Myspace.

For me, it would have to be Twitter, cause I can send a quick message about what I'm doing to update everyone. Or, post a message with a link to a new project or article I've just published. Facebook feels more like a commitment, something you need to spend time cultivating. And, I just don't have time to click on links visiting everyone's page, updating, posting to their wall, etc. It's too much time out of my schedule. I just want to get in, get out. And, I can tweet from almost anywhere, not just my computer.

Someone a lot wiser than me once said, "Twitter makes me like people I’ve never met and Facebook makes me hate people I know in real life".

Never a truer word said. I used Facebook for a long time. Still do, I'm not going to deny it. But Twitter is by far the best social network in my eyes. Facebook is clogged up with games, pictures of drunk people or someone's seventh child, location-based updates, quizzes, SPAM, and is generally an unpleasant place to be. It's pretty much my office but cyberspace-based. The same people I am "Friends" with on Facebook are the @ssholes I don't like to talk to in the office. Or they are people I used to go to school with. Facebook relationships are based upon obligation. Someone wants to be your "Friend" you can't say yes without being witness to their spam.

My boss added me on Facebook and that night spent four hours liking videos on Youtube and clogging up my news feed. Thanks boss!

Twitter on the other hand lets me communicate with millions of people that I will never meet, and some that I would really like to. It allows me to discuss major issues via #hashtag with people I don't have to form long term permanent relationships with.

At first I had the same criticisms of Twitter that some of you have. It's limited in it's content. But that, my friends, is the beauty of it.

Twitter all the way. Oh, and this is me: @mistersarcastic

Ahh, I found the source of the statement above about liking people I never met. Here is the accompanying article:

I totally go for Twitter, I think you make a conversation with people faster than on Facebook.
    So I vote for Twitter.

Personally I prefer Twitter, Facebook can get rather boring after a while when you have few or inactive friends. It also has a poor way of discovering new stuff, while Twitter has trends and things :)

I would choose Facebook over Twitter. Twitter is too bare-bones compared to Facebook. It needs many more features if it wants to even out with Facebook.

Well my Facebook posts reach more people directly, but Twitter is easier to search for specific topics, in my opinion. So I prefer to post on Twitter for marketing. But I don't use either to communicate things like what I'm up to right now, I'm not arrogant enough to think that people would actually care.

I use Facebook for people I know in real life and Twitter for stalking celebrities. I rarely post on Twitter.

I only use Facebook and for personal stuff and some activism stuff.

Facebook is definitely better than Twitter. In my opinion Twitter is just an entire website based on the status update of a facebook page. I need more on my social networking site then just that.

I have Facebook and Twitter Account. I use twitter for business purposes like posting links and i use Facebook to keep updated with my friends events and statuses. :D
I prefer Facebook cause most of my friends have account on it and i could upload pictures there.

I am not obsessed with these two but I usually open my account in Facebook and rarely in Twitter. Besides, I don't have much followers in Twitter so that explains a lot.

It's hard for me to decide. I love having access to both during the day. Usually, I bounce from one to the other depending on how I'm feeling at that moment. I love keeping up with everyone's updates on what they're doing, eating or thinking.

I like Twitter when I want to send out messages to the masses. I like FB when I want to talk to people on a more personal level. I think they both have their place in the social media world.

    Level 2 Mingler 20%

What about both? Although, I must say that sometimes I can't stand people who link their Twitter account to FB. I like Twitter, but sometimes it gets annoying when people update the tiniest thing. Right now, I prefer FB more.
