Do you hide your scars away from the world or do they not bother you? If people see them...what do you say about them? Do you pass them off as something else or do you tell the truth about them?
i dont hide mine i havent for a while and when someone asks me i tell them the truth pointless trying to pass it off as something else it never works i think my whole street knows about them and what caused them i got fad up hiding them and the truth
i hid mine for a long time, mainly because i didnt wanna see them all the time, cos every time i looked at the scar it reminded me of why i did it and found myself doing it again, it was like a vicious circle i had gotten into! althou no i think i have overcome it to a degree i wont hide them, nor will i offer explainations as to how they got there
I don't hide mine, and I don't lie about them. If people ask, I tell them, but in fairness they're pretty obviously not "cat scratches" or anything else, it's pretty obvious what they are. Plus, I really couldn't care less about what people think. I do want to point out though, if I know that somebody in particular feels uncomfortable with me walking around with uncovered scars (family, friends), they I most likely will make sure to cover them, for their sake.
nope never people will see them anyway i gave up last summer since i wear t-shirts and the scars wern't covered at all
I always hide mine away, no-one (except 1 particular dr) has seen them I am very ashamed of them and I fear the stigma that there is if people know that I have done it to myself
Thankfully my scars aren't really noticeable I'd like to say if they were I wouldn't cover them up but I probably would to be honest. Though it's nothing to be ashamed of there is stigma and people do judge even friends who are nice about it in there head are thinking "holy crap" everyone judges even if our judgements are kept to ourselves so if my scars were really visible then yes I would probably hide them and keep them covered up. But that's just me not saying anyone else should do that or is wrong for not doing that.
I hide mine from certain people. A.k.a. my parents. Even though they know about it, I'd prefer they didn't see them.
