Which medications have you tried in the past?

What made you stop taking it?

How long did you take it before stopping it?

I prefer natural treatments and modalities. Of course, medications have their own role to play for health but depending on them for a long time can mean your liver and kidneys will bear the burden of side-effects.

The only medication I've taken is Tylenol. I don't use it very often, only in extreme cases. I've never been on a prescription as I don't get sick.

I've been taking glutaphos in the past few years due to the fact that I always experience mental fatigue. Knowing that glutaphos contains vit B that is good for the brain will help me to improve my mind and to study more. After I graduated I stop using it and nothing really changed.

I have debilitating anxiety disorder, by that I mean that it hinders my ability to do many things :( I can not drive alone, stay at home alone, or work due to the anxiety attacks I suffer from. I have anxiety attacks when I am around people too, so I don't like going anywhere. I became agoraphobic for a while but am trying to get better. I have been on antidepressants since I was 18. I have taken Paxil, Lexapro, Celexa, and Cymbalta currently. The one that seemed to help best was Paxil..but then it did what they call "poop out" so I had to get switched. I also take anti-anxiety meds. I am on 1mg of Xanax a day..I have taken Valium, Ativan, and Clonopin too..seems like Xanax helps somewhat.

I've tried Prozac, Effexor, Wellbutrin, and others. I seem to have the most help using the St. John's Wort now, which is an herb. I think it's because this is a supplement that is in some ways similar to the MAOI class of antidepressants. If I were to go on a prescription MAOI I would of course stop using St. John's Wort. The diet would be stricter though on the prescription and I've been warned about eating too many processed foods with tyrosine (think that's what it's called anyway) in them when on St. John's Wort.

I take Tylenol and Advil in moderation, usually when I'm in pain and need it to stop because I have to work. I don't like to depend on medication, especially those that make me drowsy. It makes me feel that I don't have control of my own body.
