Feeling very depressed :(

  1. I feel that sometimes if I do or write something I'm in the wrong but its ok for others to do it, it really gets me low and sometimes I get to the point where I get really angry which makes me even more depressed. My anger is the biggest issue at the moment as with me having a great day then something gets said that ruins it and sets me in feeling low and depressed and I hate feeling depressed but I don't know how else to stop feeling like this. Sometimes I just wish I could write things or say things without people saying why you that or this making me out to be in the wrong all the time because to be honest it is really driving me way past depressed more of insane to be totally honest with you. Just wish it would stop so I stop feeling low and so I can get better for my families sake.
    What is it you do when you feel way past depressed? What makes you feel better and what advise would you give me?

    Awww hun , I totally understand how you are feeling when you say you feel like you are never in the right...im not sure if you are aiming the something you write as being on here...i hope not but if it is please say something (even if it is in pm to me or a staff member)

    If you want some space to type something out maybe you could make a blog on here...if you dont want replies just state that you dont in the beginning of your songwriting :)

    I think some of the time I find being creative helps me (doing something with my hands and brain at the same time). Also getting some fresh air, even if it is sitting on the door step.
    Or buring a little energy helps too.

    Some other distractions is to get a scribble pad and a pencil and when you feel angry grap hold of the pencil (in a fist) and really press hard and scribble on the pad. This releases the energy that is built up inside.

    If you want something more soothing then just get some kids bubbles and blow them (it really works)

Ive got some bubbles somewhere but it just finding them, I normally go for a fag but if that doesn't work and I get really bad I tend to head for the vodka and have afew drinks not too many but like 2-3 which calms me down But with the tablets I'm on I cant do that. Also sometimes I tend to write how I feel in poems but lately I don't know where to start with them anymore.

    sometimes you dont need a start, sometimes just a word a line could help. It is all your own way of expression when the time is bad. Later when you are coming through it you could make more sense of the words you wrote and make something more of it/??

    Today I have been really depressed. My mother died 2 years ago today and to be honest I dont think I will ever get over it. I was considering writing a blog (which might be best for you MDA) but I dont think I want to write about how I am feeling over my mother's death.

    I think you should write a blog post about how you feel. We are pretty cool here, I am pretty sure you will get comments on your thoughts that might help. I am all for trying to help.

    We will never be able to please everyone, no matter how hard we try sometimes it is just not enough for some. We all have our own believes and ideas and based on our experiences we will have our take on things so don't take it so personal when someone disagrees with you and your views; that is their opinion. Now, I can totally understand the frustration of being criticized and misunderstood and worst yet having someone else tell you flat out that you're wrong when all you are doing is giving your opinion on something.. I advise you to stand strong, don't let their comments bring you down and don't back down on your ideas or statements. If someone doesnt like your views on something then tough.. it is YOUR opinion and you are free to express how you feel. Putting your feelings down on paper sounds like a great idea, it will allow you to get all that anger and frustration out and at the same time it will give you a little bit of peace.

    ****Hugs**** I'm so sorry. Depression is a horrible lonely feeling. I get depressed out of the blue sometimes (or so it seems, but I had a therapist tell me that there are triggers to depression and anxiety, even if we don't think there is). I usually cry and it helps relieve the depression some. Also, talking to others can help. I have never tried writing when I am feeling depressed, but I will have to do that. Sometimes a nice long hot bath helps. So sorry sweetie.
