One would think that with being the first of the three browsers available, I.E. would have a stranglehold over our browsing. However, then came Firefox. With vast add ons and multiple tab features, Firefox began eating away at I.E.'s market share. After that, came chrome. Chrome has browsing speed and simplicity as an advantage. And Chrome is eating market share even faster than Firefox did. Which makes me wonder why is Microsoft having such a hard time competing with Chrome and Firefox? They had I.E. out long before either. They had the resources (at the time) that the other two didn't. So what excuse could they possibly have for being so inferior to the newcomers?
I don't have a clue but it's pitiful. IE has so much potential and it's a shame that they don't make it useful or user friendly. Each time I've tried to give it a try, I have to quit immediately because of its slowness. I guess IE isn't a priority for Microsoft right now.
It may be the fact that Google (for one) knows its own search engine. Therefore, it makes sense that Google could create a browser that is more compatible for it than MS could.
