Careers wise? Have you made your mind up yet? I'm 21 this year and still haven't decided I seem to change my mind all the time lol sometimes because doors get closed or sometimes because I think I want to do one thing more than the other and alternate between them. So I'm still not sure I know I'm going to start studying law and criminology in September and I'm hoping that will help me decide. What do you want to do or if you are in your chosen career what do you do already lol??
I did think I was in my chosen career but..... I first trained as a Nursery Nurse (many years ago lol) and then retrained to be a counsellor. I love working with children and I think I always will but I wanted something of a 'more adult' job so I chose to be a counsellor. Also with that I really enjoyed that job and I would like to get back into it again....but also saying that I want a new challenge and I think that challenge I want is to be a midwife...so that is what I am going to train for now. Saying that at the moment I am working as a live out nanny as I have an extend family living with me at home so it is easier type job to be able to care for the extra children in my care
me really i'm not sure video games tester something to do with video gaming i think its about all i'm good with lol
Well, I'm studying psychology at the moment, so I'd like to think I'll end up somewhere in that area. Don;t really know what exactly though. I've an interest in both clinical psychology and forensic psychology, so I'll see what happens.
I would love to do something to do with archiology but wouldnt know where to even start with that and it seems like an unrealistic and hard to get into type thing
For me I am still trying to become a Pro Motocross racer, hopefully 2013! I am only 19 and have been racing all my life, best rider in my region. To make money I start websites and sell ad space.
I'm not completely sure. I want to be involved in the Business world. I enjoy organizing and perfecting procedures to make things more efficient. I'm a number cruncher too. I'm currently aiming for a supervisor spot at my current job. I've been there for about a year and I'm sure I will get within another year or two. I'm just not sure what I will want to do after that.
I'm not exactly sure. I double majored in English and sociology in college. Now that I'm done with school I don't know what to do. I wanted to work with kids. I tried to get a job as a Child Protective Specialist with ACS, passed the test with a 90% but wasn't chosen for the job. I'm still getting interview notices but after the first interview my self esteem kind of went down. It was my first interview, and that too for a really good paying job that I really wanted, so I was nervous. I heard that it would be difficult and that you would see horrible things everyday, but I think that these children and worth fighting for. It's the type of job that would make me feel like my life has meaning, because I am helping to change someone's life. After dealing with my father I'm not sure if I can handle it though. My father is an alcoholic. I had everything planned out until after I graduated, when I started having contact with him again. Now I don't know if I can handle stressful situations with people like that. What I really wanted to do since high school was graphic design. I enjoyed making layouts for Xanga and playing around with Photoshop but I didn't know there was money to be made in that. I was going to transfer to another college I was accepted to for graphic design but I listened to people who said I wouldn't be able to make money at it (which I now know is totally untrue), and stuck with English and then decided when I was supposed to graduate to double major in sociology. I still made a website for graphic design, but I wish I had the formal training in it so that I would be able to improve my site. I'm hoping that I will find what I'm meant to do one day. Wow, my posts are so long lol.
I majored in English and it did not take me too long to make up my mind coz i had dreamed of talking to friends from all over the world back then, lol. Years have passed and now i am working in a foreign-funded enterprise. I can really talk to people from other countries now! Just follow your heart when making up your mind.
Ive chosen my career as a home designer I'm going to start studying that at home as I've gone out and got most of the stuff I need for it and just waiting for the college to send the rest out. I currently work now as a home carer only started back today so hopefully I'll find the time to do the course but home designer is the career I want to have and will try my hardest to achieve it.
I studied law and criminology when I was going to school to become a Paralegal. And, though I didn't pursue that career, the study was very rewarding. I wouldn't trade that experience for anything in the world. Having two majors in college might be an option and would give you more options and make you more employable.
I'd like to build computers, although I'm worried the desktop may become extinct in a few years. I got certified as a pc tech and also a network tech, but I'm just not getting the chance by employers now. Several disappointments have led me to hold off looking for now as I build up my internet income opportunities.
I'd love the chance to do anything in the tech field. I'm in love with anything that has to do with gadgets and computers. It's not too late for me to make a career change, but I really need to do something that I get total pleasure from.
