What do you do when , you love your job, but you hate the rubbish long hours for rubbish pay?
and you take the brunt of things when it goes wrong?
do you look for another job with the fear that you wont "fit in"?
or do you stick with it because something good will come out of it in the end?

It depends really if you can live on the pay that you are on. If you are going to swap jobs you have to look at it realisically...does it pay better, are the out goings any more or any less .....is there any room for promotion?

I know this probably isn't the answer you wanted to hear but I would stick with it many people are lucky to even have a job today.

If you are of course financially better of on benefits then it's pointless in some ways to work if you really are struggling if not fair enough look for something better but don't quit your job because if you do you could find it difficult to get back into work only leave when you have secured something better.

Working for long hours isn't an issue for me, but if the pay is really less, i will look for another job.

I was thinking the very same thing too. For nearly three years, the US economy and job market was in a huge slump and there were millions of people out of work on unemployment. So many people were lining up for welfare and food stamps, even the people who swore they'd never take a hand out.

And, though the US President is always saying we are out of the recession, I can look around my own hometown and see that isn't true. There are still businesses shutting down everyday. And, with gas prices nearing $4.00, there's likely to be another round of unemployment as people realize it's too expensive to drive to work.

You said rubbish hours and rubbish pay. Having those statement means that you are not happy with your current job. If there is an opportunity better than another and upgrade myself and the salary I will grab it. Do not leave your current job if you are not sure of where to go. You can do a research of job hiring while working or ask your friends and family if they can recommend you somewhere. You knows best about your boss and the company. IF you can see that there is something good in the future and worth to stay and be patient, I guess better stay. Remember there are people are wandering and looking for jobs. You are lucky to have one.:)

A job you love is worth more than anything. It can give you a very satisfying and fulfilling life. It doesn't seem as though you love your job though, if things bother you that much about it. Right now, jobs are hard to come by, so I would stick with it. Also, the people you don't like may eventually move on, or you might get a more rewarding position in the company.
