This free homemade tub cleaner recipe saves money

    Here's a useful tip for cleaning the tub. Combine one half cup of baking soda with one cup of shampoo. Mix well. Then wet down the tub. Apply some of the home made cleaner to your wet sponge. Scrub the tub, as usual. Rinse with plenty of water.

    If you would prefer a thinner mixture, just add more shampoo. For a tub paste, add one to one mixture of shampoo and baking soda.

    To get rid of the soap bubbles in the tub, you can spray the tub with a diluted mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water. That's also a good sanitizer for tub, sink and bathroom surfaces.

    Store any extra cleaner in a jar with lid for future use.

    You can make a smaller batch for one time use by combining one tablespoon baking soda with three tablespoons of shampoo.
