Education remains to be very important for most of us. However, in recent years, we have seen a parade of individuals who rise into fame and wealth with no college degree backing up their ascent. To name a few, we have Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg who are both billionaires many times over. Do you think a big investment like college is still worth it?
I believe that parents working hard to send their children to school and will land a good job is a tradition. You are right, we noticed that some known and richest people have no proper education. On the other hand, having degree in college or post degree is somehow fulfilling. I still believe with the value of education. Yes, its still worthy if you want to work as like a nurse, a doctor and any related to medicine dept. You can't get the job unless you completed the course and trainings. But if we aim to be rich and have a comfortable life, maybe we will be into business which is partnered with hard work, strategies, techniques, experience and any such related things.
To learn something new is always worth it. I mean its easier to find a job when you finished collage even though you spent some money it its worth it. But you can succeed with hard work as proven by many people. Well I quote "If you love your job , you will not have to work a day in your life"
I am in College and I do believe that college is enhancing my knowledge and I am getting to learn new things in college which will help me earn my bread. It is helping me in great way to develop my personality. Besides these College is fun!!!
I'm a college student and I think it's necessary for the vast majority of us. How many of us will be the next Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg? There's only so many billions to go around you know Also, both of them were in college when they made their big ideas sooo...you can't exactly say you don't need college. If you get a killer idea before you graduate then go for it! But seriously, go to college! I'm living the best time of my life! I don't know where I'll find enjoyment when I graduate
Well, college graduates have lower rates of employment in the USA (about 5% compared to 9% officially), but, so many of them are saddled with tens of thousands in debt. This debt can be quite burdonsome, and can stop talented kids from going into a Master's program. The Universities are given leeway to raise fees as much as they want, creating an elitist system where the richest kids go to the best schools, sort of opposite of equal opportunity is supposed to be all about.
I honestly believe it depends on what degree your going for. If your going for Nursing, they can not get enough Nurses and your going to be able to find a high paying job. If you go for business management you might not be so lucky in finding a good job. I would do some research in the field your going to go in and make sure your going to have a job when you get out. P.S. the odds of becoming a billionaire with out a education in probably 1 and trillion.
I think college is the most reliable way to succeed especially if you plan to work under someone or for a company. Employers place a certain trust in that little piece of yours; that the institution it came properly educated you for the job you're applying for. Most people will be employees since few people have the cash or IT skills start their own company. To say Mark Zuckerberg didn't benefit from college is incorrect. Otherwise, how could he have stolen the concept that would later be revamped into Facebook?
A high school diploma is good for only one thing these days, to wipe your @ss. You need a college education to make it in this world.
Depends on what you mean when you say success. If having a lot of money or being popular is success, then no, it's not. However, if being a valuable, smart and wise person is a success, then yes, you'll need any education you can get. It's pretty simple actually.
The idea that a college degree will lead to financial success is a mass thoughtform...meaning that...a lot of people believe that. I believe people who are determined to succeed in college are most likely able to increase their level of confidence...and...that's the good news. Unfortunately...the reality we're dealing with in this economy is that I have friends with masters degrees who are currently unemployed. School and academic success doesn't guarantee anything.
