I have never met anyone even close to being famous but when I was in high school there was a teacher that looked exactly like Danny Devito. He had the whole bald think going on too. I was always tempted to ask him if he had ever met him in person lol.
No I don't recall ever meeting someone in person that is famous. I wouldn't think it would be a big deal though. At least not other than being like "hey, I know that person?" at first.
As far as i could remember i havent met someone well-known. Or maybe my Dad could be one, since he is popular in my village, lol. It doesnt make too much sense for me to meet someone popular in the TV or movie.

Once at the fashion square mall in Orlando I saw Shaq walk by the store I was in (he was playing for the Heat at the time). My brother and I tried to get close to say hello but his posse stopped us short. Oh well, thats a necessary evil for celebrities I guess.
I go to a lot of horror conventions. Meeting celebrities in that setting is very easy and at times you even get to party with them. To the mainstream most of the people don't qualify as famous people but to a horror fan like myself they are.
Some of the graduates from my high school are kind of famous. They studied in the arts stream and are now actors in local productions. Hopefully, they will achieve mainstream success.

I have had occasions to be associate to many persons who became famous later in life. But once they beecame famous could not meet them since I am not famous as them.

I had the opportunity to meet the Dalai Lama during my recent trip across India. He is such a kind and joyful person. No one can piss off the Chinese government like he does. He is truly one of a kind.
When I was young, I met the little boy, from the movie Slingblade. He was really sweet, and not stuck up. I have also met Gavin Degraw, Maroon Five, Maynard from Tool, the Toadies, Everclear, and a few other people in bands. My friends and I were excellent at finding green rooms. However, we weren't groupies, we just enjoyed talking to the bands for a bit. All the bands were cool, except Maynard, he was a belligerent drunk. I already knew this, but I wanted to meet him, anyways.

Former President in my country. I met her when I was in College. We have this observation project that we require to attend a session in a Senate. She was just a senator back then. I met her and her son, they're very accommodating. I just can't figure it out why everybody wants to put her down.

I once met Nelson Mandela when he came for a visit in my country. I was still in high school and we were part of the welcoming committee . He was also accompanied by archbishop Desmond Tutu. That was truly an honor as he is known for his stand against apartheid and he has received the Nobel Peace price.

I have been lucky and have met some celebrities. Some of you seem young here, so may not know some of these people. I met Vincent Price when I was a kid, also Leslie Ann Warren. There used to be a show called Gilligan's Island, I met Alan Hale, Jr who played the Skipper. I have also met Gary Puckett, a singer from the 60s, David Cassidy when I was about 11, I think. Singer Roberta Flack I met in a hotel in Detroit. The Smothers Brothers, also from the 60s. Pat Paulsen, a comedian. Who else? There's more, but the greatest was a President.
