Social network sites like Facebook can also be a medium to find a date and hopefully find someone of value worthy of getting into the altar of marriage. I once dated a girl who belonged to my network of friends in FB. And although, nothing serious really occurred after the first date, it illustrates the power of FB to be an all-encompassing site. Have you tried finding a date with the help of Mark's baby?
I definitely know of some friends who have used facebook as an alternative to a dating site. Its easy to get to know a bit about a person through their profile, and breaking the ice is as easy as sending a short message. These days you hear about couple all the time who say they met on facebook.
Some of my friends are really adding some people in their Facebook account just to find dates. Personally, i am not adding or accepting friend requests from unknown people cause it is not that safe. Specially that lots of personal information are lying in my account. So all are really my friends or acquaintances. I had never experienced getting a date from Facebook.
No. It's not my interest looking for someone in social networking sites. Besides, there were reports locally about rape victims upon meeting these strangers in Facebook. I don't want to risk my part (if I am still searching).
Didn't some people use to say that Facebook is the new MySpace? I don't think it's a great idea to find a date through Facebook, because what you see can be deceiving, or maybe too revealing. But hey, you'll never know. I'd say give it a try.
