Children who are breastfed for four months or more develop fewer behaviour problems, Oxford researchers say.

The study, involving 10,000 mothers and their babies and in journal Archives of Disease in Childhood, says that may be because of the make-up of breast milk.

Or, it says, breastfeeding may lead to better mother-baby interaction.

Breastfeeding is already associated with other health benefits for babies, including lower rates of infection and less obesity in later life.

I think it goes deeper than that tbh fair enough stronger immune systems and what not I can buy that what I can't buy is less risk of obesity and all that crap that's not down to DNA make up in my opinion and having a strong immune system.

I don't think that's completely true, although it might be. But in my experience, I know loads of perfectly well behaved children who were bottle fed. Personally, I plan to breastfeed all my children but thats my own choice as I believe it's a better decision for their health (and my funds! :p)

Couldn't there be other more reasonable explanations to explain the behavioral problems in children who were not breastfed? Maybe they're just trying to get more attention from mom and dad. Or, maybe the parents don't set enough ground rules for behavior in the house and out. There are a million and one reasons why kids act bad. And, once again we have found a way to pin it on the mom.

Yeah sure it might help your kids in many areas if they are breast fed but behavior is something the parents have to mold into their children. My kids are toddlers and they are very well behaved compared to others but it's because I set and example for them and follow a routine not because I breast fed them.

One thing for sure: When we allow the law of nature to fully operate in our lives we are scheduled to reap tremendous and awesome benefits starting from womb to tomb. Mothers who are attuned to motherhood already know the importance of breast feeding. It is just unfortuante that in our greedy society, this practice is considered to be not so fashionable. We should know that no laboratory could ever synthesize mother's milk and so far there is no milk forumula that comes close. Mother nature always win.

The question is: Are we following the law of nature or we let the dictate of the society the basis of our actions?
