I began working at age 16 for a department store called JC Penney Co. in the Valley Fair Mall. I was taking care of a clothing department for young women...which was perfect...because then I could invest in new clothes for myself. I worked there until I graduated from High School. I also worked for the Federal government; IRS, Hill Air Force Base and the US Post Office. My favorite job is the one I have now; working at home where I have the freedom to work in my bathrobe!
My very first job ever was over 20 years ago. It was at a nursing home in the food service. I worked there four months and then was let go because I was too slow. About a year later I found a job at Mc Donald's and stayed there for two and a half years.
Well, I got my first job as a store clerk when I was 16 and used to work during holidays. It was an amazing but tiresome experience. And it was then that I realized that I needed to do well at school to lead a better life. I learned the hard way. The Store manager was rather mean and I was always given extra work to do.
My very first job was working as an after-school tutor while I was still in high school. I loved it because I got the chance to help others understand school work that I already enjoyed. Kind of nerdy I know. It was the best job that I've had so far. I so miss it.
