My first job was working for GAME I had to manage stock keep up to date with the latest movie games knowledge and upsell. Was a pretty cool job though it ended rather quick as it was only a temp Xmas job.

For your first job that's pretty cool.

Well I actually very first worked in a chip shop peeling potatoes but I was young and it wasn't full time but I suppose it's still a job so that was actually my first job.

My first job was fast food at Popeyes Chicken. I ended up gaining a shift manager position after about 3 months and spent nearly 2 years there before finding my current job. I'm very happy to be out of that industry. Tough work for no pay it what it is. :p

I had my first job last November at the age of 22 (about to turn 23). I worked at a jewelery factory. I started out working in the shipping department and then I moved to the vault. I was back and forth depending on whether there was work or not. It was minimum wage. The job wasn't hard in the sense that it didn't require advanced knowledge. I had to count merchandise, pack, ship, make sure orders were correct, print labels. Counting the diamonds was the hardest though because they were so tiny and there were literally thousands that I counted (for inventory). It was monotonous and very boring work, but it was work. It was just a seasonal position so I only worked there for 2 months.

What do you mean by first job?
Do you mean the first one you got paid or just a job?
My Dad asked me to help a team after graduation; i would not be paid. I had been there for only a week since i could not earn a penny. Later i was employed by a joint venture where i had worked for about two years as an assistant of CEO.

My first job was with a maid service that my mom owned. Not easy work when you're only twelve years old. She brought me along as the unpaid labor so she didn't have to hire another person or split the profits. I got to eat and a place to live, so I'm not complaining.

My first job was at Jack in the Box, a long time ago. It was pretty lousy because I was the young new guy and I got to do the worst jobs like clean the bathrooms and the parking lot, and the easy stuff like cooking up fries. Thankfully it didn't last long, and once I finished my college degree I moved into programming, which was really my first job as far as my career direction although I ultimately ended up focused on information security. A lot of people I know had their first job as a student assistant in government, that would have been far better as you can earn more and get your foot in the door for a secure government job.

That sounds like a cool place to work. I'd like to work at Gamestop if I could.

My first job was for a gas station. Duties included taking payments, stocking shelves, and keeping the place clean. I had to use the fire extinguisher once when this lady set her engine on fire. She just poured oil on top of her hot engine, then she comes in and asks if her car is supposed to be flaming.

My first job was at a small discount clothing store in a poor part of town. I didn't like it at all. Some of the customers were stupid and loved to haggle. I tried to explain I wasn't authorize to give a discount and I had to give back money according to the number of empty hangers. They insisted I was. They basically expected me to give them a discount out of my own pocket. I was 14-15 at the time. They should have been ashamed to even try to scam a kid.

I worked two years at McDonalds. There were times when it was really crappy. For the most part it was enjoyable, and the discounted food was definitely a plus.
