What work experience did you do or are doing/going to do through the school years? Did you see any point to it? Did you get a job out of it at the end of the experience? Was it relevant to the work line you were/are interested in?
To be honest, i did not do too much work during my college days. I just worked as a part-time English tutor and earned a few pennies a week. It doesnt help me too much for my work later. Still, i think thats the precious experience in life. I should have taken part in more activities in society and work.
I'm a sophomore and I got some working experience(as the matter of fact I'm doing an internship here) and I hope that helps me later when the time comes to get a job. I think working experience is very important cause you learn things you normally wouldn't learn by yourself and your resume looks better with some good working experience.
I have working experience as a cook worked already in over 15 hotels and restaurants. Most experience i got from working in Hotel Aquastar Danube (4 Star Hotel)
I did a week long work experience thing at a bank. I put down that I wanted to design video games, a profession that at the time wasn't taken seriously, so they put me up at a bank. I was bored the whole week and really didn't care. I think kids are asked at too young an age what they want to do, when they are still discovering themselves and what opportunities are out there.
I've done 4.5 years in food service, with two of them as a manager. It pays the bills, and being a manager will look good.
