I have heard of an online company developing apps which would have let FB users to watch TV on their account in FB. Well, this is another innovation which can capture the attention of FB members. We are truly in a convergence loop where one or two big technologies are working together in one platform. What do you think on this? Hot or Not?
Several other social networking sites already have TV shows, but most are provided via Hulu. Putting Hulu on ANY site is not too hard. You can snag the shows for your blog or site if you want. Not sure the code works in a forum, though. At least, it was that way before, unless they have changed their policies. As for Facebook and TV shows, sounds good to me. It's always fun playing games on Facebook, so why not stick around to watch a show or two.
I think Facebook TV would just be another way for Facebook to monetize their massive user base with Ads. Not that I'm complaining - it costs money to run a network that size! But I mean...if people can spend hours on Farmville they'll definitely spend hours watching TV on Facebook
That would be good if they offered shows that aren't available elsewhere, but I get enough programming from Hulu right now. It could also end up slowing down the regular Facebook service.
