What do you use for all the graphic design creations? I personally use Photoshop CS4 and just recently upgraded to it after being a PS7 groupie for so long.
Premiere Pro CS5 for video editing; Adobe After Effects for post-video-editing (is this even a word? ). Don't design that much graphics. But I got Photoshop ready for that.
For my art and digital design related projects, I use only art editors like Ultimate Paint, PhotoImpressions software, GIMP and Twisted Brush Open Studio. You can get paid upgrades for all of these that will include more filters and functionality. But, for most projects, you can make it work with just the free version. I like Virtual painter for turning any image into an instant work of art.
I use MS Paint! I don't do much with graphics, and I think it shows. You can find a lot of free banners and stuff online if you're willing to look.
I use the MS paint for minor adjustments and some reduction in sizes. However, I like the Gimp, Microsoft Picture It! and Roxio PhotoSuite. I use these because they are either usually free or installed on my PC by my uncle. I can do just about anything in here than I could've done in PhotoShop and it even is easier in the programs I use.
I'm not a pro, but I tend to use Corel PaintShop Pro. I haven't graduated to Photoshop yet. Probably in the near future I'll give it a try to see if I like it. I've heard so many others say how wonderful and versatile it is.
I really like Gimp. Its a very great tool and it packs quite a punch with the various features it has. Furthermore, the fact that it is free makes it aces in my book.
