ok i just found out not long ago well a couple of hours ago my ex step dad has cancer i dont know how bad it is or anything like that really he wont say the thing is he has a 6 year old daughter debbie so i'm just worried that she wont have a dad much longer and i really dont know how she will handle losing him and dont know how i will handle it either hes been there for me for years
Im sorry to hear that sad news How are you feeling? Like you say you don't know how severe it is or anything, some cancer is treatable and curable. How long has your step dad known himself...maybe if it is a recent finding for him then he will need to get used to the idea of him having the disease before talking about it.
when he told me it kinda made me feel dead low and upset but not upset for me but his daughter little debbie i think he knew in november but hes going into hospital for some tests breathing tests and stuff on the 15th i dont know what other tests the will do and they may keep him in for a while so none of us know how bad it is or anything
Sorry to hear that Craig I'm always here if you need to talk. I suppose at this stage it's about waiting to see if it can be treated or not. Until that time I know it's easier said then done but try not to worry because things could still be ok. It's a horrible thing to deal with. But I'm here if you need someone to talk to mate.
thanks Rick I'm hoping it can be treated just for his daughter mainly and he has been a big part of my life so i really hope it can be treated and it does have me worried since it is cancer but as yet we dont know how severe it is yet but i'm hoping
Please keep your mind open The word cancer really does scare people (and yeah it is a bad thing to have to live with or even deal with) it can be cured, Im talking here from experience hun. My husband was diagnosed with it last year and he is doing well now and we are hoping he has got rid of it through treatment

Update to the update he collapsed at his house with a brain tumor his 6yr old daughter found him and 2 of his mates went to see him and she gave them the keys and they called the ambulance he is now in Edinburugh hospital he will be moved to stirling on monday and hopefully home not long after that
I am so sorry to learn about what happened to your dad. Actually cancer can be cured and controlled if not found too late. I hope he could feel better under the support of you guys. Try to be strong no matter what. You might be the one who could give support and help to his daughter. All the best.
