Scrapbooking is a method for preserving personal and family history in the form of photographs, printed media, and memorabilia contained in decorated albums, or scrapbooks, each page is then created by using craft materials and placed into an album. The main thing to watch is that you use non acidic paper or it could ruin your photos in time to come
Ahhh OK kind of like what my ex girlfriend got me. For valentines day 2007 she mad me a scrap book of 101 reasons why she loved me. It was easily the best gift I ever received and I still have it to this day. When she gave it me I cried each page was beautifully crafted with envelopes and little pull out pieces of paper with reasons why she loved me on it. It had everything photos, emails she had kept it really blew me away it made me cry when she gave it me it really was the best thing I has ever been given in my life. Since I'm on holiday I can't post photos but I shall take some when I get home She was really creative I think if I tried anything like that I'd just make a mess of it I'm not a very arty person.
@ Mcrikeo - I would love to see a photo of scrapbook that your ex gave to you. Scrapbook is what I am planning to give to my husband on our wedding anniversary. Originality is always the best but I considered ideas from friends like what you said " 101 reasons that she loves you". That was very sweet. @ Debs - I had a scrapbook but only a compilation of our pictures and not much design on it. I will try to make a better one of this day.
I love scrapbooking...I have made loads of different scrapbook for different occasions. My last one was for my parents anniversary from my kids..it was the life of their grandchildren through their first 10 years. It can take a good few hours though to do anyone page.
Back when I got cable, I would watch the QVC Scrapbooking shows and they had all these amazing premade scrapbooking kits, where all you had to do was paste on the photos. And, it always seemed like such a fun activity, cause of all the mix and match papers. The kits were around $30. I might get one or two of those kits to go along with my upcoming Kodak Easy Share camera, so that me and my daughter can have a fun activity to do together.
oooo I love QVC for the crafts My hubby doesn't though lol. They seem to be shutting all the smaller art and craft shops down here so I have to rely on the bigger more expensive places or QVC lol
I've been interested in doing scrapbooking for a while. Just haven't done it yet. I'll have to make a point of getting started pretty soon. Recently, I spotted a cricut commercial and loved some of the projects they came up with.
