i have more virtual friends than real ones mainly because its hard for me to talk to someone face to face without me shaking like mad and i cant ever think of what to say to them i get all confused
I have more virtual ones probably I mean I have a lot of "friends" as in people I know and will stop have a friendly hi how you doing chat with but I have more virtual friends in the sense I feel I know them more have been chatting with them for years and haven't even met alot of them but feel like I can trust them more and know them on a deeper level.
I have more virtual friends than 'real' i tend to let virtual ones a little closer than the real people I have some very close virtual friends
I think we all let those types of friends get close as those are less likely to hurt you to be honest.
I also have more virtual friends than RL friends. Not because I find RL communication difficult or anything, I just don't really socialise in the usual way for my age group (pubs/clubs); I don't go out clubbing with my people in my course/ex-classmates, so that means I don't know them as well as they know each other. Online, it's much easier to find people with the same interests as yourself.
I'm not really a clubby person ether, like yourself i am a youngster (27) and not into that sort of stuff. Im being stereotypical here. But most chaps and girls my age are taking drugs and popping loads of Viagra pills lol. And that is not the type of people i like to mix with. So as it happens i have more Virtual friends and gf's than i do in person. I have become very withdrawn from society over the last few months because of the way i have been treated over the years. And im finding the "Not going out" lifestyle far more relaxing and peaceful
I mostly have virtual friends, but I have met and hung out with some of them. I played World of Warcraft for 5 years and met most of them there. When your in a guild with people on there you tend to be real with them and become friends pretty fast. One of my buds from there flew me down to Miami to go clubbing and what not. Had a lot of fun trying to pick up girls and just partying. Turned a virtual friendship into a real one since we still did things together like we took a road trip to Blizcon in California with some other guild members we picked up along the way last year.
I have more real friends than virtual. Though I respect my virtual friends, I sometimes entertain doubts about what they say because I don't see their eyes. I consider that the eyes of a person are a mirror to ascertain honesty and sincerity in them.
I don't know what counts as virtual friends. I don't use chat sites or IM programs, but I do have some friends who I only know from gaming. So I guess if that counts then I have more virtual friends.
I have more virtual friends than real friends. I find it hard to keep friendships where there's no connection or shared interests. It's very hard for me to maintain friendships, or even to make them in real life. At least virtual friends we can share similar tastes and do stuff together. No need for awkward real life to interfere.
