Are you one of the many that the period brings misery to with the pain?

Do you get the pain before the period, during your period or both?

How do you deal with the pain?

I get pains before my period comes, which, however annoying is handy because I know it's on its way xD But then they do get so sore and I'm stuck to bed with my chocolate and movies!

Ok, at this moment in time I would take anything to get rid of the pain, my tummy, back and legs all feel like they are being squeezed so tight

I get really bad period pains, I often get pains 3 days before im due to start and then right through it.

I use mefaneamic acid from the dr and the usual paracetmol or co-codamol and ibuprofen.

Also someone rubbing lower back and hot water bottle.

I have also found out that if i can push myself and go out for a fast walk that takes the pain off too

I rarely get period pain. I only get pain when my period's late or been gone for a while due to messed up eating. Usually a bit of discomfort, but not something I'd call pain.
I suppose I'm one of the lucky ones.

I used to have menstrual cramps before I had my kids. Sometimes they were so bad I could not get out of bed. Regular painkillers like Midol did not work for me, heat pads would work best to ease the pain. Now after my body having gone through pregnancy, I can't remember the last time I had them. I guess that changes your whole system but I am glad as I don't need any more problems.
  5. I don't have them since Ive had the implant in but I do still suffer from the pains when I'm due on but Ive been given some tablets from my doctor to ease the pain and it does help and it eases it quicker then what paracetamol does.

I feel the pain a week or 3 days before my period. I never take any medicine for it. I just let it pass and disappear. It was terribly painful and makes me very irritated and get upset easily. :(

I wish I had periods :( I have a condition called PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome) that makes my periods nonexistent unless I take birth control pills. It sucks so bad. I use to have cramps but they were somewhat tolerable. I did have the worst cramps ever once when I was put on a pill (provera maybe?) to make me start my period. It was horrible..the cramps would not go away and the bleeding was super heavy. I finally called my gyno and she had me come in for a D & C. Was a bad time...that's why I never want to take provera again.

    I hate dysmenorrhea. :(
I usually am stuck in bed while enduring it. I am very irritable whenever I have it so my love ones know better than to irritate me.
I take medicines since they are really severe. One time, I fainted due to the excruciating pain. I simply could not endure it!

Well I do experience pain during my period but it is really tolerable.
I don't have to take any pain relievers because the pain eventually goes away.

I'm so glad that I don't have them anymore. It used to be so awful for me with clotting, often felt like mini-labor pains.
