Lol Lewis, well to be honest i dont know, could you imagne a guy without nipples, dont you think it would sort of look abit strange ?
Wow thats an odd question. HAHA. It made me smile. But makes me wonder as well. =.= Its not like men has any use for their nipples.. :3 They don't breast feed like women does.
clauemi is quite correct on our questioning, though the fact is, is that both male and female are the same species (duh). So it only makes sense that we share some similar characteristics.
It isn't an act of God. When an embryo is first developed, it doesn't have a sex, but it has (the DNA for?) nipples. When the sex-making kicks in, the nipples aren't removed if it's a male. Simple as that. It's kinda weird, really. Bulls don't have udders.
Never though of asking myself why do men have nipples. I am now imagining myself without nipples. Very odd-looking !
I always wondered this too! In fact, my friends and I were debating over this the other day. One of my friends who is a male lactated from his nipple, which started the debate. We got no where with the discussion...
That was a funny question. I think it's because nipples are supposed to be universal. Men and women already have different reproductive organs right, so their breasts should look the same. Women need nipples and areola to breast feed and men need nipples to...contain their mammary glands?
That is basically where I was coming, yeah. It its a shared attribute, if you will. Haha, I'm sure they do.
Like said earlier, because the stage before what chooses us to be male or female, we are all exactly the same. We are neither male or female and have the same type of dna. Once that next step kicks in to decide which we are, we still have them.
Reading the other responses to this question has put a huge smile on my face. Just too funny for words. I needed the laugh. Thanks guys.
