For the Guys IF your current girlfriend told you she had got a job a few hundred miles from where you lived... would you stand by her and move with her or would you have to stay where things were familiar and where all your family is? Would your answer need a lot of thinking or would it be an easy choice whatever your answer?
I would move with her. No hesisations really. If you really love your partner you would want to be with her/him, right? You can always visit your family, they won't mind that you see them less. If it's the other way around I think the relationship will become a though one to keep. It could work though...
Hmmm, I think this is one of the thorny issues a lot of lovers faced and a lot of relationship ended because of the long distance separation. I think one has to sacrifice or else find a way to make the long-distance relationship works. But it is rally hard.
For me, it would be an easy choice to make. If she wanted to move away for a job then it is because that is what she really wanted to do. The only sticking point for me would be finding a different job of my own. So I might stay behind until I'm sure I have one, but the end all be all for me is to stay with my girlfriend.
