Do you know/speak any other languages. Coming over to Madeira has made me decide I want to learn Portuguese because I can't understand a word my family are saying and it's annoying my Gran translating all of the time. I'm gonna go home to Manchester and enrol on an evening course I think I've currently been watching YouTube videos. The problem is I learn words and phrases but I forget them so easily lol I don't know how I'm going to grasp it.
aww lol i went to paris with my school and i forgot every french word i learned which was strange lol
I learnt French and Irish at school. I can kind of understand some French, but not speak it. Irish, yeah, I barely passed the exam. I am fluent in Russian though.
I took 4 years of Spanish in High School so I know it pretty well but not nearly as good as I used to. I don't ever speak it but I do listen to others around me. You hear crazy things when people don't know you understand Spanish.
I wish I could speak other languages. I speak English fluently. I studied French in high school and took French for two years in college but I've pretty much forgotten most of it because I don't really have any cause to speak it where I live. It would have made much more sense to learn Spanish since most of the people around my neighborhood speak Spanish. I stuck with French because my class was "advanced" in high school so they put us in French instead of Spanish, and I figured it would be easier for me in college if I stayed with it. I really regret not taking Spanish though. It's never too late, I just have to be motivated enough to push myself to learn. I can understand a little bit of French and Hindi, but I don't know enough to speak either.
Well I know the following languages : Serbian, English, Romanian, German I knew also French but since I didn't use it everyday i forgot it. I learned German on a funny way. I watched the German Catoon Network with my bro and at some point we started both to understand German . I still don't know how to write or spell but I speak it perfectly Romanian I learned from my mother and English from the PC
Some people are better at learning languages. I find that repetition is the best for me. Plus, there's nothing like going out and trying to converse with someone in a foreign language.
I took French for 8 years and forgot most of it after 12th grade. Unfortunately, it was a mandatory part of the curriculum. Otherwise, I would've taken something else for 8 years.
I know Spanish and English. I barely know French, even though I did well in the classes, it has been a while and I have since forgotten most of what I learned. I'm planning on learning German in the Fall, hopefully I do well
I have a basic understanding of Spanish, I can't speak to well but I know whats going on when they are talking. I should work harder since my gf's parents don't speak english lol.
