It seems to me that the options for relationships have changed greatly over the years. I'm older...and...it used to be that you were friends with someone or you were dating with the intention of eventually getting married. Now...people have invented a situation where they have sex with friends....right? Isn't that what friends with benefits is all about? How does the 'friends with benefits' concept differ from casual sex? Does that type of situation work out well for you? Honestly...I've been single for about 6 years and I've tried taking that route. It doesn't seem to work out well for me because I'm an emotionally based individual and I find that I become emotionally involved with the friend I'm sexual with. Please share your thoughts.
I haven't done it before, but I think it's a horrible idea. If I had to choose, I would go with casual sex. The friends with benefits thing seem like it would ruin a good friendship, make it awkward, or change it forever if there are un-reciprocated feelings.
