Who would you say is your Fav movie killer. For me it has to be JigSaw he is defiantly the most twisted yet interesting killer. I mean can you even call him a killer considering technically he never actually kills anyone lol, I like the intelligence behind his kills he is very different to any other Horror movie killer I have ever seen.
Movie killers are great, but I would much prefer watching a TV killer like Dexter. Can you imagine how creepy that show would be without the running internal monologue? The show would fall flat on it's face. It would be like, "Why'd he just stab that dude?" But, hearing Dexter's thoughts and seeing flashbacks of his life puts the killings in context. The TV show Dexter plays a nasty trick on the viewer, making them feel sympathy for this monster, even when he really deserves none. And, still we keep watching.
I share the same opinion as you Bev. Dexter has been a refreshing character on my TV screen. He is the perfect killer in my opinion; cold blooded when he needs to be and methodical. I really like the back story behind each of his kills, its not random like in those gore movies. It's a bit disturbing though to be cheering for a serial killer.
