In your opinion what is the best paid forum software and why?

I know there are more out there than on my list so feel free to leave comments but I tried to only include the ones I see as the leaders at the moment.

XenForo definitely, I have used all of them except for Woltab (Which I wouldnt bother using). Xenforo gets my vote hands down. I have been with xenforo since it was beta 3, and its was great to see it go from beta to rc, and finally stable. I just love what it has to offer.

I have only ever used IPB and Vbulletin....so VBulletin as IPB is the biggest piece of crap I have ever used.

Really? I actually thinki vB is crap because of how the development has been so far.

The new version of VB (4.0+) leaves something to be desired, but anything is better than IPB.

Either vBulletin or XenForo for me. :)

If you're enjoy posting on the forum right now, then I'm sure you'll enjoy running your forum in the Xenforo platform too!

I prefer IPB to vB I preferred vB 3.8 to any forum software but hey ho that's long gone now.

xenForo is awesome just so smooth and slick really unique. I love the social aspect of it the notifications when you're quoted and what not, I hope they develop the social aspect of the board further.

VBulletin would have to be the best.
MyBB is free and that comes up to standard with VBulletin, that is what i use.
Sure, Vbulletin costs you a heap but it is worth it if you are getting $40 a day from advertising!

IPB gives you the most bang per buck. It's $10 more than XenForo but it has so many more features, and 3.2 is looking damn amazing.

vBulletin at this point in time is noob software, if you're deciding on forum software, avoid it.

I am going to vote for XenForo, I use to be worried about the forum industry because there hasn't been any innovation on a long time. XenForo hit a home run and has forced other developers to step up to the plate.

vBulletin has always been pretty good. IPB has always been one of those that looks good, but most don't like it.
This XenForo forum software is pretty new to me actually, but I'm really liking it. Though I didn't know it was paid until just now seeing this thread.

Yeah, a lot do not like it. I haven't used it really before. Why is it so bad?

  10. Level 3 Mingler 40%

I love XenForo it's the only forum software to me that has a real social network feel to the boards.

I love it and I wouldn't look back now. vBulletin I agree with the person who said it's noob software it's pathetic now I hate it I think IB completely disregarded everything there customers wanted and came up with a really poor product that they called vBulletin four and I've seen so many customers leave them because of that huge mistake.

I like vBulletin. In my opinion it is more advanced and easy to use software. The best about vB is that it has tons and tons of Mods. On other software has that many mods than vBulletin. You can do pretty much every thing with it. Especially vBSEO has made vBulletin more popular because it does optimize your site for search engine and thats the best part for webmasters.

I would defently have to say VB , because it has so many options , it's easy to navigate , easy to edit and , there is millions of templates aswell as addons, And plus its browser friendly , most of the time :D although the price is a bit expensive i suppose it's for what it is your getting a good price

Xenforo is the best overall IMHO. It's new and, although it lacks some features right now, it's just the prettiest forum script I've ever seen. Between the eye-candy and it's amazing intuitive user interface - plus the fact that it integrates natively into Facebook - Xenforo is the best hands down. VBulletin has had its run and I think they're all but finished except for a few die hard supporters.
