Ok so I turned my deep fat fryer on which I never normally use but I forgot to switch it off.

To cut a long story short several hours later flat stinks of oil it's been over a week now and the smell is still here.

I've emptied a bottle of Febreeze on the place opened windows and emptied a bottle of air freshner but the smell is still lingering.

Any suggestions? Has anyone done this before how long does it take for the smell to go lol?

it could have been absorbed into the furniture if thats the case it may last a while longer i'm not sure now long it will last though another week month just depends in its been absorbed into your furniture but shouldnt be much longer i have my fingers crossed lol

what you like lol.....As for smells, it could linger for a while you can try burning fragranced candles and insence sticks that may help a little (but you need to remember to put them out) lol

    Ah dear, Rick *facepalm*

You could try using a lemon fragrance, lemon gets everything away xD

I know this post isn't very new, but I can suggest something for odors. If you put a bowl of white vinegar on the top of your refrigerator with a piece of a paper towel in it, it is supposed to absorb odors. Glad the odor is gone now for you :) I love fried foods (not healthy, I know), but it does tend to leave a bit of a stench with just short term use.

This is awful, i think you should try putting some ordinary vinegar like what i put inside my toilet to get rid of the bad smell. If this method still does not work, you really should consult some professionals.

A flat is an apartment right? Do you have Glade tough odor products where you are? They are very effective. I especially like the gel stick thing that you just open up and forget about it. I use one in my bathroom.
