Yes! I always think it's a good idea for a new couple to start out their relationship with a road trip or maybe some hiking or camping adventure where they go out for a couple days and rough it in the woods. Without all the distractions of modern life like TV or cell phone, you can really concentrate on the other person and their true personality shines through. If they are the right one, you see it right away. If not, you see that too.
My family drove from Ohio to Florida once. By the time we got to West Virginia I wanted to jump out of the moving car. Some people just aren't meant to be in a small space together.
Oh, no way! There were moments on our 'family car trip vacations' as a kid, when I had a similar feeling. It was usually while we were traveling in the summer time, during the day, with so many people packed into a small car. We didn't always have an air conditioner in the car and when we did, we didn't always get to use it cause it made the gas go quicker. At least that was the explanation at the time. Though many car trips were actually very enjoyable, especially when I was a really little kid like five or six years old cause I knew the destination was going to be grandma's house and she was always so much fun and had great gifts and made the best food.
It's quite inaccessible for a car going to a location that is miles away. I used to book in a plane a month before the specific date. Most local airlines, nowadays, have promos that I can even buy a ticket much cheaper than the price in a ship or bus.
