During the Casey Anthony trial on Saturday, May 28, several text messages were introduced as evidence against Casey. These are texts which Casey had sent to Tony Lazzaro, her boyfriend at the time, on July 16, 2008--a month after her daughter Caylee's murder. I have been following this saga. Personally, I find it horrible that a mother who is supposedly protecting her children could be the instrument for the child's demise instead. In my mind, there is no more question that Casey murdered Caylee. This is indeed motherhood at its worst.
What gets me the most is that her friends are saying she was acting normal and partying during the time Caylee was supposedly missing. No mother who loves her child could ever mask that pain no matter what. I don't believe she was abused by her father either, why would she let her own daughter be close to him if that were true.
This is such a sad, sad thing. It's too horrible to even comprehend it. Sometimes, I feel that this makes me lose faith in humanity sometimes. Such an awful case, indeed.
I was watching a bit of the trial this morning. It makes me sick, I don't understand how someone could do such a thing to a child. If you wanted a different life for yourself then there is always adoption.
I can't wait for this whole thing to be over. In my opinion she is guilty. The only sticking point is that I don't think the prosecution proved the case well enough for a capital murder conviction and death sentence. She will get life though in my opinion.
She caused the death of a child. If I was the judge, then I'd have sentenced her to death, or better packed her off to Fukushima to clear the radio active waste. Anyway, it will never happen. The trial is in the USA. All the feminist groups will be ganging up to free her with just a probation or a silly fine.
