Thankfully, I waited through the original iPad craze and now the iPad 2 is out and everyone says it's so much better than the original in so many ways. Having read many reviews on the iPad 2, the newest features seem to be increased battery life, faster browser and dual cameras. Still I'm wondering, is the iPad 2 worth the $499 investment? If you have an iPad 2 or have used one, please share your experiences with how it compares to the first iPad. Is the iPad 2 better? What are the new features you use most on your iPad 2? Do you think
I love my Ipad 2! I owned the original Ipad and i was hesitant to buy the second installment but i went for it and bought one. I don't regret it one bit, i can Facetime my family members now and play HEAPS of awesome games on it.
Big plus: new processor which is definitely faster than the iPad 1 + enhanced battery life! I'm still not sure if it's worth the investment... I do think that once you bought it, you'll love it. But is it really something someone MUST have?? I don't think so.. People """need"""" a phone, tv, etc... but not an iPad. Nonetheless if I had the money I would buy one
You might be right about that. Food is a fact of life. Housing is a necessity. And, very few people could live without TV or cars. But, an iPad might be a purchase I could postpone. Right now, it's a toss up between a Kodak Easy Share Digital Camera and an iPad. And, the camera purchase is more pressing cause I want to document family events. And, though the iPad 2 has dual cameras, I don't think they would be any better than a webcam.
I wouldn't go for an iPad to take pictures to be honest... A real camera will always take better pictures than an iPad/ iPhone or cellphone in general.
Ipad is certainly very very stylish. The ipad is much slimmer and lightweight in comparison to the original Ipad which gives it a very sexy look. Apple have also added a reasonable camera to Ipad 2. I love my Ipad2
Apple never really update their products that much, it's a marketing technique. It means that they acan add even more t othe next one without changing it too much. The Ipad 2 has a faster processor, 2 cameras, and is slightly lighter than the first one. Nothing much.
Those cameras can act as a webcam, and record video as well as pictures. Not to mention video chat with family and friends. I've used the iPad and the second generation, they're both wonderful devices, but the iPad 2 takes it all.
Honestly, that's what I thought. I heard such a glowing review from one of Youtubes top technology reviewers. He said such good things about the iPad2, like how they are worlds apart. I can't wait to try it out. And, of course, I know nothing replaces the regular digital camera, but having that video camera/web cam capability built into the iPad2 is just makes it better. I don't think there could be a better set of features in one portable computer device. Thanks for your input.
You're welcome If you go to an Apple Store, they will let you hold and use the iPad 2, so you'll be able to decide for yourself what you think. The iPad 2 is an awesome device, and I'm eagerly saving up for one. And there's nothing like taking photos on it and then showcasing them to your friends with that nice large display.
