Unforunately, I don't qualify for any benefits cause I live in Dublin most of the time :(

In that case do Ireland have any type of benifits system?

May be worth checking this out Cheryl.

Explains the benefit system in Ireland if I'm not mistaken I think the Tory government want benefits to work like this over in GB now instead of having all the different types of payments income support, JSA etc have a universal payment with different rates for circumstances.

    Anyway hope it helps.

It's really difficult to get benefits in Ireland for most things. Especially if your illness is hard to prove. I haven't tried, but that's what I've heard :/

I think when it comes to illness/sickness rate especially when that illness is related to mental health it's getting more and more difficult regardless of where you are.

Government are really cracking down on things now to them it's all about saving money.

I am on Social Security disability because of my mental illness, I have been on it going on 9 years now. I wish I could work but my illness is to severe for me to work.
