Before going out and buying.... another way to save money is to look through the daily freecycle listings in your area http://www.uk.freecycle.org/ Have you used freecycle before and what have you received?
I don't use it to get anything, but I have occasionally gotten rid of stuff with it. Instead of throwing out an old TV, I can get someone that needs it to pick it up. I don't have to take the trouble of disposing of the TV, and the person gets a free TV! It is really a win-win for everybody involved.
That's a great idea. I've been trying to figure out what to do with my old tube TV since I think throwing it out is bad for the environment and possibly illegal. I might just try and see if someone wants it. I haven't used it since they turned off the analog signals.
We don't have many people in my area using it that much, I think it's more of a regional thing. I could probably unload 4 monitors if anybody really wanted them. They take up a LOT of space, especially if they're not being used, and I don't want to just haul them off to Good Will, I'm not even sure they'll take them.
